Alfred Samuels is a Prostate Cancer Survivor. He is also an inspirational author, mentor and public speaker devoted to bringing about a difference to people living with Cancer. Alfred says you will face six-eight traumatic events which result in your life being re-routed and cause you to say, “Now what.” His “Now What” moment came in January 2012, after spending over 29 years in government, corporate and entertainment security, after which he was diagnosed with advanced metastatic prostate cancer. With the immediate threat of chemotherapy and substantial time off work, he faced an uncertain future. Instead of protecting other people, he was faced with defending himself. In his book, “Motivated to Inspire” - A Cancer Survivor’s Perspective, he has shared some experiences that people living with Cancer are likely to go through and provided inspirational advice to encourage people to think differently.
