Maria Marroquin is a two times cancer survivor. Initially, She started having itchiness all over her body. At first, she thought it was an allergy. She started taking treatment for the same. One of the doctors even asked her to consult a psychologist. She then began having bruises all over her body, and finally, the doctors diagnosed it as Stage 4 Hodgkin's Lymphoma. She underwent chemotherapy, but the chemo drug was not working well. So she started with another drug. In April 2020, she did a PET scan, and Maria was cleared of Cancer. One day she had a fall, and her knee got hurt. She could not walk anymore, and during further tests, a large tumour was diagnosed in her Spine. This time, she also underwent 15 cycles of radiation therapy and a Bone Marrow transplant. It was tough for her to think about losing her hair. But, her boyfriend and family were very supportive. Her boyfriend, currently her husband, even shaved his hair off. After radiotherapy, she started again with chemotherapy. She started walking again. There were financial troubles for the treatment. Her friends helped her, but it was not enough. Finally, with all the support from her family and friends, she emerged victoriously.
