Aphrodite was diagnosed with breast cancer 16 years ago. Initially, she felt something in her left breast and did some tests. Scans and biopsy detected tumours. She says everyone always to have a support system and have faith in God. Have a positive mindset, and you will get through this. She went through chemotherapy, radiation therapy and mastectomy. Her mission in life is to help others and be a humanitarian. She addresses every woman to do their self-examinations. Aphrodite says, " Tell your mind that you can beat this and half of your work is done.
